We are delighted to announce that Craig Ryder has won the Cover Art Competition for Issue 7 of Brief Encounters. 

Craig is a digital anthropologist whose PhD research at SOAS investigates the widespread proliferation of social media in Sri Lanka and tries to find out how people use social media for political participation. Craig uses cutting-edge data visualisation techniques to map influencer networks and identify who is really shaping political conversations.   

Stay tuned for the big reveal of Craig's cover art, which transforms Twitter data into cosmic visualisations.
